Roger Littman obtained his JD in 1979 and in 1980 was appointed an Assistant Attorney General, representing governmental agencies and officials in administrative hearings and in State and Federal Courts. In three years of trials throughout Illinois, Roger defended claims of excessive discipline, improper termination, civil rights violations, employment discrimination and personal injury.
Since joining Querrey & Harrow in 1983, Roger Littman has developed his practice specialty in representing physicians, nurses, clinics, and hospitals. Of more than 50 jury trials, the most recent 38 have been in cases alleging medical negligence. Claims against cardiologists, surgeons and emergency medicine practitioners involving death and brain injury make up the majority of his medical litigation work. He also represents various professions as head of our Professional Liability Group.
Roger represents his clients both in the courts and before the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation. He continues to work in a commercial litigation setting, dealing with intellectual property and fraud cases. He has earned an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been named one of Chicago’s “Super Lawyers” for the last 3 years.
Most recently, Mr. Littman has been elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a national organization which fosters improvement in the ethical and technical standards of trial practice. With fewer than 100 Illinois lawyers so honored, ABOTA stands as one of the most selective boards in the legal profession. The organization chooses as its members those lawyers with demonstrated proficiency in the art and science of jury trials.
